I Choo-Choo-Choose You.

I gave this to the Old Lady for Valentine's Day. Melissa from tastethehappy made the pattern, but I first saw it on Sprite Stitch. I made the heart a little wider than in her pattern - I'm not sure if I like it better this way or not. The skin tone I used definitely looked too dark, though.
The finished stitch turned out a little crooked, but the picture makes it look even worse. I need to make one a them lightboxes so all my pictures don't look so much like shit. We went with a Big Lots frame as a departure from the dollar store variety.

Second Project/Christmas Presents

I had originally planned on making "Old Man" Christmas presents for some friends, with each one getting a different saying. The Dodongo one took a lot longer than I expected, though, so I ended up making these instead. Those are some cheeeeeap frames.
A day after johloh at Sprite Stitch made a post about them on his site, I was scrolling through Kotaku and wtf, mate? Other sites also picked it up, including Boing Boing and Wonderland.

First Stitch

Here's the first cross stitch I finished. It's been rolled up for about a month (hence the wrinkles) since I haven't been able to find a frame cheap enough for my liking. It's pretty easy to see a mistake I made in this photo but I never noticed it on the cloth until my fyance pointed it out. Just haven't gotten around to fixing it.
